10 Hollywood Favorites which have been recently added to Netflix!

Apart from all their acquired and original content that they bring to entertain audiences around the world, Netflix has put in the extra effort to bring forth many of Hollywood’s much-loved films to its platform, during the lockdown. From yesteryear’s classics to animated films and some special blockbusters, the platform now has an assortment of interesting films for the film buff to gobble up. Down below, we have put together a list of ten films which have been recently added to Netflix’s library.
 
Ted (2012)

Seth McFarlane’s summer comedy pulled in a silly plot and put it to best use, with hilarious one-liners, wacky scenes and lovable characters. Though it features a really cute teddy bear, it is not one that you will want to watch with your kids, but rather delivers an A-rated comedy drive that balances its funny and endearing moments.

 

Casino (1995)

Money, mafia, power and violence. Scorsese aces these departments and he did it again with a tragedy element as well, in Casino. Though it is not one of the director’s best films, it boasts of solid performances and a great soundtrack to keep you engaged in full.

 

Psycho (1960)

Alfred Hitchcock’s timeless masterpiece needs no explanation on how big a trendsetter it was during those days. With shocking imagery that won’t leave your mind, the master of suspense crafted this terrifying thriller with such elegance. If you haven’t seen it yet, better do so.

Before he moved on to his intense dramas and mysterious movies, Ron Howard worked on this beautiful slice-of-life drama that showcased the real troubles of being a father. Steve Martin’s fans call this one the star’s best film ever, so we don’t need to give you any more reasons.

Director Alfonso Cuaron explored the dystopian sub-genre with this devastatingly beautiful film that takes up an uncommon plot and tries to make the best use of it. Some parts of it may seem confusing, but there are some superb performances and visual splendour in here, along with a great message.

Quentin Tarantino’s stunning film has everything you need – an utterly brilliant cast, brutal violence, smashing dialogues, consistent suspense and top-notch music. It talks about the tough concepts of slavery and racism, with lot of nuances and thought-provoking stretches to ponder upon once you finish seeing it.

Lenny Abrahamson’s highly emotional drama looks small in size, but the impact it will have on you is unbelievable. Brie Larson’s Academy Award-winning performance and Jacob Tremblay’s adorable presence are valuable additions to this beautiful film that even deserves a couple of repeat viewings. Amazing is the word!
