What is the story about?
Falgun, a telephone operator at a radio station in Ahmedabad, battles weight issues, dreams of becoming an RJ and falling in love. The series looks at whether he ends up achieving those dreams or not.
Kavin Dave has been an actor who has forever been typecast into small character roles that, more often than not, poke fun at his weight. This is why 110, at most points, never feels like fiction. RJ Falgun might be a fictional character, but if feels sometimes in Anish Shah's direction that Dave might actually be lashing out at people who have made fun of his weight all these years. But instead of pigeonholing Falgun's narrative on weight-related frustrations, Shah and Dave talk about the lack of self-esteem that the weight issues bring, and it is this virtue that makes the 4 episodes of 110 soar high.
Kavin Dave holds this entire show together as Falgun, with a mix of playfulness and vulnerability. Jay Upadhyay is suitably cantankerous as the radio station head. The rest of the cast are decent.
Music & Other Departments
The cinematography and production design are very good.
Dave's performance as Falgun.
More episodes would have been better.
