Trailer Touchdown: 47 Days - Conventional Narrative and Good Technical Work could make this work?

Multiple films which were planned for theatre are going for a Direct OTT release as the producers are getting fancy deals with OTTs which are also relaxing them from zero per cent risk from the money they have put in. Though the practice of Direct OTT puts the distributors and exhibitors in exasperation, the deals are getting closed continuously from Hollywood to Tollywood.

Here's a Telugu film which is now sold to Zee5 for the Direct OTT - 47 Days. On the first glance of the trailer, Even a Kindergarten kid would find it that it is a Crime Thriller Film. As the trailer unfolds, Sathyadev who has acted with his original name is narrated to us a police officer and he is working on a case to find a mysterious girl played by Roshini Prakash. He also concludes the trailer by giving a voice-over " I am gonna find her, Whatever it takes".

On the technical front, the lens work and scissor work is pretty good whereas the production value of the film looks a bit vile. So, though the narrative being conventional and the technical team sounding transcendent, if the film has got an engaging screenplay, this film has the potential to perform well on the Zee's streaming platform.

47 Days, however, is inspired by the Director's own 2011 short film, titled Juliet. Director Pradeep hails from Rajamundry and was a software engineer before he took to film. He has worked with Puri Jagannadh as an Associate Director, Assistant Director and Co-Writer in a span of five years from Devudu Chesina Manushulu till Rogue.

Actor Satyadev is not new to the web-platform as he recently also starred in the web-series Locked. The actor was also seen in Gods of Dharmapuri. Satyadev will soon be seen in Venkatesh Maha’s second film Uma Maheshwara Ugra Roopasaya, which will also hit OTT soon.

It is also to be noted that the film is jointly produced by Dabbara Sashibhushan Naidu, Raghu Kunche, Sridhar Makkuva and Vijay Donkada, 47 Days that was shot in Vishakapattinam, Araku, Goa, Lankavaram and Hyderabad. The film also stars Pooja Jhaveri, Roshini, Sathya Prakash, Hari Teja, Ravi Varma, Srikanth Iyengar, Irfan, Baby Akshara, Mukthar Khan, Kireeti and Ashok Kumar in key roles.
