Abbas-Mastan’s Netflix directorial a remake of Belgian thriller "The Loft"

According to an exclusive by PeepingMoon, director duo Abbas-Mastan’s next directorial venture, Penthouse, which is a collaboration with Netflix, is an official remake of the 2014 Belgian thriller The Loft by director Erik Van Looy. The erotic thriller which finished its shoot a few weeks back, stars Bobby Deol, Arjun Rampal, and Sharman Joshi with Mouni Roy, Manjari Fadnis, and Waluscha De Sousa.
While Penthouse is the official Hindi remake, the film upon which it is based The Loft is also an official remake of a 2008 Dutch film by the same director. The thriller is a murder mystery revolving around five married men who meet up with their mistresses in a shared loft but things go for a toss when one day they find the dead body of a woman in the chambers. A source spilt the details about the film to PeepingMoon which reported that even though the main spine of the story has been kept intact, there have been slight changes made to the plot twist of the film to make the viewers, even those who have watched the Belgian thriller, keep guessing till the end and add some originality to the Hindi version.
The director duo has returned with their next venture after four years. The release dates of the trailer and the movie are yet to be released.
