After SRK, this Tamil Superstar is a fan of Money Heist

Money Heist Aka La Casa De Papel has millions of fans worldwide. Be it the footballer Neymar to Bollywood Superstar SRK everyone who watched the show on Netflix is a diehard fan of it.

Actor Jyotika has revealed that her favourite show on the OTT platform is Money Heist which she recently binge-watched with her actor-spouse Suriya.
In a conversation with Rajeev Masand, the Ponmagal Vandhal Actress opened up about her favourite show and films which she has been watching since lockdown. “I recently watched Money Heist. Suriya and I binge-watched the TV show. We both enjoyed it. I also saw Thappad and a few movies of Ayushmann Khurrana. I’ve been following a lot of Hindi flicks lately because there’s hardly any new Tamil content,” Jyotika said.

Ponmagal Vandhal, a film in which Jyotika plays the role of a prosecutor, is the first-ever mainstream Tamil film to have a direct OTT release, detouring theatres that are currently secured due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Jyotika also added that she’s open to traversing opportunities on OTT platforms, provided she gets something worth checking out. “At 2D Entertainment (Suriya’s production house), we are on the lookout for new content. If we get something interesting on OTT platform, I’d adore to give it a try. I’m open to the idea,” she said.

Ponmagal Vandhal is directed by debutant JJ Fredrick. It's a story of an upright lawyer’s attempts to rescue a wrongfully sentenced woman.
The film is bankrolled by actor Suriya and it has legendary performers like K Bhagyaraj, R Parthiepan, Pandiarajan and Pratap Pothen in pivotal roles.

Following the arrangement to publish Pon Magal Vandhal directly on Amazon Prime, Exhibitors in Tamil Nadu exposed extensive shock and frustration. However, the resistance from the theatre owners didn’t stop the producers from withdrawing their decision to go ahead and release directly on OTT.
