Amazon Studios Appoints Ex-Netflix Christian Davin As Its Global Head Of Movies Marketing
Amazon Studios has appointed Christian Davin, former top marketing executive at Netflix and Warner Bros., as its new Global Head of Movie Marketing.
Davin comes from Netflix, where he was VP, Global Creative Marketing for Films until now. At Netflix, he handled the marketing for the entire streaming and theatrical slate of Netflix. Roma, Bird Box, Dolemite, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, The Kissing Booth, Murder Mystery and The Irishman were some of the movies whose marketing he oversaw.
Davin will be reporting to Andy Donkin, Head of Marketing at Prime Video. Vincent Scordino, senior marketing and distribution manager, and Molly Albright, head of creative marketing, will work directly under Davin. Davin will be responsible for the designing and execution of film campaigns at Amazon, including both theatrical and streaming projects.
Before Netflix, Davin spent nine years at Warner Bros. in various capacities, including SVP Creative Advertising, EVP Creative Advertising and EVP Worldwide Global Content and Sponsorships. Some of the Warner Bros. projects whose creative marketing campaigns were handled by Davin include the Academy Award winner Argo, A Star Is Born, Creed, 42, The Town, and Get Hard, among others.
