Amazon's 'Time' documents a real crime case

Amazon Prime Video released the American documentary film Time on the platform yesterday. Garrett Bradley directed and produced this documentary film. The documentary film's story follows Sibil Fox Richardson, who fights for the release of her husband, Rob, who is serving a 60-year prison sentence. This particular case garnered a lot of interest in the media, and with the film being made on the same, there is a huge curiosity around the project.

Sibil Fox Richardson and Robert G. Richardson were featured in the documentary film. In the ’90s Rob G. Rich and Sibil Fox had a dream to open the first hip-hop clothing store in their town of Shreveport, La. To get money for the same, they decided to rob Grambling Federal Credit Union. The plan, however, failed, resulting in the three getting a jail sentence. In June of 1999, Rob was sentenced to 60 years in prison.

The film had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 25, 2020. At the film festival, the movie won the U.S. Documentary Directing Award. The film was released on October 9, 2020, in the theatres and released on Amazon Prime Video on October 16, 2020. Amazon Studios produced the movie. The film combines original footage with some home videos.
