Apple TV+ debuts Oprah's new Coronavirus show, 'Oprah Talks COVID-19', streams it for free viewing
In the midst of the Coronavirus outbreak, Apple TV+ has premiered a new talk show on its platform, called Oprah Talks COVID-19. The show is hosted by Oprah Winfrey and sees her delve into the causes and effects of Coronavirus or Covid-19, as also the journey of recovery of those infected with the disease.
The remarkable thing about Oprah's new talk is that Apple TV+ has placed it in the free-to-view category, which means anyone with an Apple TV+ app can watch the show. One doesn't need to have a paid Apple TV+ subscription to watch the show.
The show will see Oprah chat remotely through video calls with experts, celebs and common people who have tested positive for COVID-19, and who are in the process of recovering. Two episodes of the show are already streaming, one of which features Oprah in a FaceTime chat with Thor star Idris Elba, who recently tested positive for Coronavirus and is in self-quarantine as he recovers from the viral disease.
The episodes will see Oprah go into detail about how people can deal with the virus while maintaining their humanity.
Apple TV+'s official description for the show is thus, "How can we mindfully move through a crisis while holding on to ourselves and our humanity? In this series, Oprah has remote conversations with experts and everyday people to provide insight, meaning, and tangible advice for the human spirit."
Oprah Talks COVID-19 has begun streaming on Apple TV+. You can watch it on your devices after you've downloaded the Apple TV+ app.
