Apple Tv+ to release a new post pandemic episode ahead of 'Mythic Quest' season 2

Apple Tv+ has set its sights on releasing a singular episode highlighting the post-pandemic lives of the characters on the series Mythic Quest. The bonus episode is set to air on April 16, ahead of the premiere of the second season which is set to release on May 7 this year. Titled "Everlight", the half-hour episode will follow the Mythic Quest crew return to offices and co-workers following the coronavirus pandemic for their annual Everlight party. Anthony Hopkins lends his voice to the episode. It is set to be directed by Rob McElhenney on a script by Ashly Burch.

The second season that will be having a summer release will find everyone back in the office (well, almost everyone), attempting to build upon the success of Raven's Banquet by launching an epic new expansion, but Ian (Rob McElhenney) and the newly promoted co-creative director, Poppy (Charlotte Nicdao), struggle with the game’s direction. Meanwhile, C.W. (F. Murray Abraham) reconciles some unresolved issues from his past, the testers (Ashly Burch and Imani Hakim) test the bounds of an office romance, and David (David Hornsby) loses yet another woman in his life as Jo (Jessie Ennis) leaves him to assist Brad (Danny Pudi).

Directed by Rob McElhenney, Pete Chatmon, Angela Barnes, Megan Ganz and Todd Biermann, the series stars Rob McElhenney as Ian Grimm, Charlotte Nicdao as Poppy Li, David Hornsby as David Brittlesbee, Danny Pudi as Brad Bakshi, F. Murray Abraham as C.W. Longbottom, Imani Hakim as Dana, Jessie Ennis as Jo and Ashly Burch as Rachel. The series is the brainchild of McElhenney, Charlie Day and Megan Ganz.
