If you were not convinced before that anti-heroes have the surprising quality of winning hearts, you may need to have a change of heart right now. Deadline has revealed that the Karate Kid spin off series based on the antagonist of the film, William Zabka played by Johnny Lawrence, has garnered 41 million streams on its home platform, Netflix. What’s most surprising is that the year has only just begun and the series’ popularity has shot up in several countries across the globe and is expected to only grow higher.

Cobra Kai started calling Netflix its home in mid-2020 and that too after the second season was already a year old by that time. Still, the series has managed to garner praises and fans with Netflix reporting that out of all the three seasons, almost 73 million households have watched at least one episode of the series. The series that shows the dynamics of the two main protagonists Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, sure still has fans after 26 years of the film series.

Fans are now waiting for season 4 of Cobra Kai which Netflix has already given the green light to. All three seasons of Cobra Kai are now streaming on Netflix.
