NFL star Colin Kaepernick and Emmy winner Ava DuVernay are teaming up for a brand new project, called Colin in Black & White.The cast of this upcoming series consists of Colin Kaepernick himself, Jaden Michael who plays the younger version of the NFL star, Mary-Louis Parker and Nick Offerman who play, Teresa and Rick Kaepernick, the adoptive parents of Colin Kaepernick.Michael Starrbury produces this series, with Ava DuVernay as a director and an executive producer along with Kaepernick.

Colin in Black and White will take a look at the adolescent life of Colin Kaepernick who went on to become an NFL player and a hugely important activist in the fight against police brutality. He made global headlines when he began kneeling during the national anthem at sports games as a form of protest. The series also shows how Colin's parents navigate through the challenges they face of raising a Black son in a white family and community.
