LetsOTT Editorial Team -
Disney+Hotstar will be finally putting down its flag in the Thailand market this month. The OTT service will be available in the country from June 30th following its success in India and Indonesia. The expansion into Southasian and South-East Asian market is in the wake of the increase in the number of subscribers to Disney+Hotstar in India and Indonesia in the last few months, making these countries one of the topmost subscriber base in the world.
Disney+Hotstar will be available for 799 baht a year or 99 baht per month. For AIS customers, the service will be priced at 35 baht per month if pre-subscribed between 8-27 June with an additional one-month free service. Studios like GDH 559, Sahamongkolfilm, Kantana Group, and One 31 have entered into a partnership with Disney to provide content for the streaming library. The studios add to Marvel, Pixar, Disney, Star Wars and National Geographic content that will be already present in the library. Shows like God Bless The Trainees Too!, Extraordinary Siamese Story: Eng and Chang, movies such as Pee Mak, Friend Zone, Brother Of The Year, Laddaland, and Tom Yum Goong will be available for streaming.
Thailand marks the newest addition to the growing Disney+Hotstar subscriber base in Southasia and South East Asia with Malaysia being added only a week back along with Singapore that launched last year.
