Eight exciting original films and series coming to Netflix this June!

The Coronavirus lockdown is slowly being lifted in many parts of the world, but people are yet far from hopping back to normal. The month of June is crucial as it will see a lot of interesting films being ported onto various platforms, with the streaming giant Netflix coming in with lots of exciting original films, series and other additions. Down below, we list out eight exciting films and series that will be debuting on the platform next month.
The Last Days of American Crime – 5 June 2020
Director Olivier Megaton, who worked on the second and third parts of the Taken series, is back with a rousing heist thriller in The Last Days of American Crime. The film has a good star cast consisting of names such as Edgar Ramirez, Michael Pitt and Sharlto Copley. The film is based on the graphic novel of the same name and has a very enticing trailer that promises an entertaining fare.


Choked: Paisa Bolta Hai – 5 June 2020
India’s celebrated director in Anurag Kashyap’s Choked features Saiyami Kher and Roshan Mathew, narrating the thrilling tale of what happens when a woman finds an unlimited source of cash coming through her kitchen sink. The film is a different take on the demonetization scheme which flew through India.


13 Reasons Why: The Final Season – 5 June 2020
Netflix’s dark, complex and complicated show returns for one final season on the 5th of June. 13 Reasons Why has been both enjoyed and criticized by polarizing sections of the audience, but the final season will look to end things on a good note by giving us a heartbreaking yet devastating story.


Whispers – 11 June 2020
After making inroads into the global market in style, Netflix is set to bring us the first series from Saudi Arabia, titled Whispers. Touted to be a social drama, the show will focus on a family who has to deal with a death, at an unlikely and unprecedented time.


Da 5 Bloods – 12 June 2020
It’s almost time for Academy Award winner Spike Lee’s next, as he brings us Da 5 Bloods – a story of four African-American vets who go back to Vietnam in search of their long-lost friend and a box of gold. The film has a great cast and is expected to please the fans of the filmmaker and those looking for quality cinema.


The Woods – 12 June 2020
Harlan Coben’s novels such as Safe and The Stranger have got a lot of attention through their Netflix mini-series versions, and the next in the alley is The Woods – which has been made in a Polish backdrop. The 6-episode series follows a prosecutor tracking down the disappearance of his sister along with three other friends, 25 years ago.
Dark: The Final Season – 27 June 2020
One of the shows which has tripled up its hype in the Coronavirus lockdown is definitely the German original Dark, with people all around the globe finding time to get into its complicated world and connect with the characters. The excellent show returns for its last and final season on the 27th of June, as depicted on screen previously.
Bulbul - TBA
After making noise with Paatal Lok on Amazon Prime, the producer in Anushka Sharma is ready to bring out her Netflix film – Bulbul. Anushka has revealed in a recent interview, that the film will be releasing in June 2020, but the official date is yet to be confirmed by the platform.
