Four More Shots Please Preview
‘Four More Shots’ launches yet another season, after the triumphant success of season one. The Amazon Prime original that is often compartmentalized as a chick flick is premised around the professional mêlées, emotional conflicts and a hoard of other strengths braved by the modern-day woman. Along with these struggles, four women celebrate a strong bond of friendship that gets deeper with every passing season. A lot of the loose ends will be tied, and newer pathways are created all the same.
The talking points
In a conversation with Maanvi Gaggroo, who plays the part of ‘Siddhi Patel’, we learn, “Yes indeed, this season my part is a lot more defined. I enjoy playing Siddhi Patel, as this time around my character is well rounded. In season two, Siddhi tried to find herself and has put her marriage on hold. The idea is to break out that conditioning of marriage and find her identity before she marries someone else. She is stronger, and has learnt to deal with her problems with grace.”
According to Sayani Gupta, who plays the part of ‘Damini Rizvi Roy’, we learn, “To begin with, even in season one ‘Damini’ has enjoyed a very complex character, where she is dabbling with a number of emotions. She is a go-getter and an achiever, and gets herself into some more trouble yet again.” On inquiring about the problems, Sayani adds, “Well, a plot can become flavourful only if there is an interesting point of conflict.”
In a tête-à-tête with Kirti Kulhari, we learn of what it takes to make a series like ‘Four More Shots Please’ successful. “When we started shooting for the series at season one, none of us knew how the series would shape up! With every passing season, the challenge only grows, and it takes the whole ensemble to put things in perspective and make things work the right way around. I have enjoyed working for season 2 just as much. My character has got the edge, and the plot is equally exciting.”
The other talent starring in ‘Four More Shots Please’, includes, Bani J, Prateik Babbar, Milind Soman, Neil Bhoolalam, Lisa Raym Amrita Puri, and Simone Singh. The series is written by Devika Bhagat and is directed by Nupur Asthana. The series will stream on Amazon Prime on the 17th of April 2020.
