What is the story about?

FRIENDS was a 90s sitcom based on the lives of six friends played by Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt Le Blanc and Matthew Perry. The 10-year and 10 seasons run features the ups and downs, love lives of these 6 single individuals navigating through life in New York.

FRIENDS is the most loved sitcom in the world. Back in the 90s and the early 2000s, it gained a massive following all across the world. People still watch the reruns on Netflix even today, when clearly the era has changed and so have the dynamics in relationships and dating. FRIENDS became a part of the cultural zeitgeist in a way no one could have imagined. It was not just the jokes or the situations, but even the romance and the relatable bits. FRIENDS may have been criticised by a lot of people in the later years, but for many it was a means that introduced them to the modern world, dating quirks, single and married life, and even offbeat careers. The reunion episode has the six cast members revisit the sets of FRIENDS that made them household names and turned them into superstars. We are shown a lot of behind-the-scenes moments, bloopers, told unknown facts. The makers David Crane and Marta Kauffman discuss how the six leads were auditioned and we are told about their work before FRIENDS. There are common people who have given interviews about what the series meant to them as have certain iconic figures such as David Beckham, Malala Malala Yousafzai, Mindy Kaling, Kit Harrington. Tom Selleck, Christina Pickles, Elliot Gould, Maggie Wheeler have also done guest appearances.
To make it short, FRIENDS: The Reunion was a nostalgic episode that took every one of the fans a trip down the memory lane. We all got the gauge behind the stars and their lives and what made it the most loved show in the world. It was very heart-warming to see that the cast shares such fond memories of each other and the series and that it holds close to their hearts as much as ours.

The cast of FRIENDS reuniting for one more time and giving us an peak into what went on while they were working on the series is tremendously interesting and full of nostalgia.
The very talented and Oscar-winner Lady Gaga sings the infamous 'Smelly Cat' song with Lisa Kudrow.

It is kind of disappointing to know that the cast may not reunite again or that there may not be a movie on the series, as they believe that the series ended on a happy note and that all of them had their happy endings.

Did I enjoy it?

I loved it. It made me very emotional as I went back in time of cable television, landline phones and no computers, when FRIENDS was telecast. It was an extemely nostalgic for me.

Do I recommend it?

Go for it. This is simply an unmissable event. Keep a box of tissues ready, because some moments will tear you up.
