Game of Thrones prequel to roll out at a higher budget than any of the early seasons!

Though more than half of the world was not happy with the way in which Game of Thrones ended, there’s more in store as the prequel of the series is up and coming in 2022. Titled ‘House of the Dragon’, the project is now in the nascent writing stage, with George R. Martin and Ryan Condal coordinating things.
The interesting fact here is that HBO’s executive Francesca Orsi has come up stating that the Targaryen prequel series will have a bigger budget right from the start, in comparison to the earlier GOT seasons. While the previous seasons were rolled out at 50 million, Francesca said that that would not be a feasible number for the prequel, as they are going bigger.
House of the Dragon is based on Martin’s book Fire and Blood, and talks about the events that take place 300 years before the events of GOT. The series is the first in the set of four GOT spin-offs which will be worked on within the space of the next few years.
