'Godzilla Vs. Kong' becomes the biggest movie on HBO Max with most number of views

Looks like the titans in Legendary's film were not the only giants. Godzilla Vs. Kong has become the most-watched film to date on HBO Max since the streamer's launch. According to third-party analyst Samba Tv which polls viewers from terrestrial smart TVs, 3.6 million households in the US watched at least five minutes of Warner Bros/Legendary’s Godzilla vs. Kong on HBO Max in the film's first five days on the site from March 31-April 4. Adam Wingard's directorial was watched by 225K UK households and it culminated in notched its biggest single-day of viewership in both the U.S. and UK on March 31. The movie left behind the likes of Wonder Woman 1984 with 2.2M U.S. households (for at least five minutes) and Zack Snyder’s Justice League which clocked 1.8M U.S. HBO Max households (for at least five minutes).
Although the data numbers were not confirmed or denied by the streamer itself, according to Deadline WarnerMedia Direct-to-Consumer EVP and General Manager Andy Forssell has stated that Godzilla Vs. Kong “had a larger viewing audience than any other film or show on HBO Max since launch" adding that “the HBO Max audience has spoken very clearly and loudly: they love this film and are watching it more than once.”
The film's premiere in theatres also brought laurels despite having simultaneous releases in theatres and on HBO Max with Box Office collections scoring $48.1 million at the domestic level in its first five days.
