Gunjan Saxena Music Review: Amit Trivedi flies high with a lovely, entertaining album!

Netflix’s Gunjan Saxena is one of the most anticipated films of the month, with the trailer gaining a good amount of traction already. The entire album of the film was launched on Monday morning, being the next in line from composer Amit Trivedi.

Bharat Ki Beti: Singer – Arijit Singh yes

Truly an uplifting track to start the album off with. Arijit Singh’s vocals are nothing short of soothing here, and the song’s chorus at the rear end is another positive. An instantly likeable track.

Asmaan Di Pari: Singer – Jyoti Nooran yes

Jyoti Nooran never disappoints, and it has happened again with another potential hit number that brims with energy. The Punjabi beats brought in the background add to the fun element, and this is two in two already.

Dori Tutt Gaiyaan: Singer – Rekha Bharadwaj

A simple, melodious number that doesn’t quite stick in the head despite Rekha Bharadwaj’s superb vocal control. Decent.

Dhoom Dhadaka: Singer – Sukhwinder Singh

A lot of pep and energy is brought into the soundtrack again, and this time it has been done by Sukhwinder Singh, who is really good on the mic. A fun number!

Rekha O Rekha: Singer – Nakash Aziz yes

Though this is a track that could have been crooned by Amit Trivedi himself, Nakash Aziz brings all his might and power to the vocals, making it a nice and entertaining listen. Another pick in the album.

Mann Ki Dori: Singer – Armaan Malik

Another song in the album with a very minimalistic but likeable feel to it. There are no great shakes here, but Armaan Malik keeps it ticking.

Amit Trivedi’s approach towards the selection of singers really works wonders for the album, and he helps it through with some instantly relatable compositions that collectively have good lyrics by Kausar Munir. Gunjan Saxena is indeed another solid album from the composer, with three songs that will take off to good heights.
