HBO Max orders 'Magic Mike' competition series with Channing Tatum producing

HBO Max is set to turn Magic Mike, the movie into an unscripted competition reality series. The movie, directed by Steven Soderbergh and starring Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Adam Rodriguez, among others. The unscripted televised series will have Tatum and Soderbergh as executive producers. According to Deadline, the series will transform a group of men into real-life Magic Mikes. Ten men who have “lost their magic” will come together in a competition series, baring their souls and more as they learn to perform routines with one being crowned the Real Magic Mike. The winner will pocket a cash prize and an opportunity to perform on the Magic Mike Live stage in Las Vegas. Audition and casting are currently underway in America with the show premiering on the streaming platform later this year.  Eureka Productions and Warner Bros are producing.
