Higher Ground Productions and Netflix acquire Sundance contender 'Worth'

Michelle and Barack Obama's High Ground Productions in collaboration with Netflix have acquired the Sundance Film Festival 2020 opener 'Worth' starring Michale Keaton, Stanley Tucci, Amy Ryan, Tate Donovan and Laura Benanti. Based on Kenneth Feinberg's memoir What Is Life Worth, the film follows Michael Keaton who plays Feinberg in the film as he is appointed Special Master of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund by the Congress to allocate compensation for all those who had been victims of the 9/11 tragedy. Feinberg’s committee awarded $7.1 billion in taxpayer funds paid out to 5300 people whose lives were irrevocably changed that fateful day when terrorists flew planes into the Twin Towers in the World Trade Center, and hijacked and crashed commercial planes in DC and other U.S. cities.
The film is to be released by the streaming giant in the month of September to honour those affected by the terrorist attack. The film will be released in select countries outside the US including Canada, Latin America, Australia, the UK, France, and Turkey.
