Hugh Jackman starrer HBO Max film 'Reminiscence' gets a teaser trailer and release date

Hugh Jackman is going to play a one of a kind detective in his new film 'Reminiscence'. Hailed to be a sci-fi thriller, the film is being written and directed by Lisa Joy, the creator of 'Westworld'. Hugh Jackman, who will be essaying the role, Nick Bannister in the film is to be seen in a futuristic world, being the detective of lost memories. Joining him in the movie are Thandie Newton, Daniel Wu, Cliff Curtis, and Nico Parker whose roles have not been declared. The film was first announced to be in the making in January 2019 with a release date set for April 2021 however those plans went into disarray once the pandemic struck and the film then went for a direct to digital release on HBO Max along with a theatrical release.
Hugh Jackman, who is headlining the film took to his Instagram handle to announce the release date of the film along with a teaser clip form the thriller. The film is slated to be released on September 3 on HBO Max and in theatres in the US and on August 25 internationally. As per Screenrant, the official synopsis of the film is thus, "the film centres on a character named Nick Bannister (Jackman). Known as a private investigator of the mind, who helps his clients by accessing lost memories, Bannister navigates the alluring past and lives on the fringes of the sunken Miami coast. He’s forever changed when he meets a new client, Mae (Rebecca Ferguson), and he becomes obsessed with uncovering the truth about her disappearance. Along the way, he discovers a violent conspiracy and ultimately finds himself forced to confront how far he’s willing to go."
