Jack Reacher to arrive as an Amazon Prime Video series

Author Lee Child's best-selling book series on the incredible character of Jack Reacher, the US Army Military Police Corps officer, is all set to be adapted into a series commissioned by Amazon Studios, the parent company of Amazon Prime Video.

Skydance Television and Paramount Television Studios will co-produce the series.

The books have done brisk business ever since they were first published, selling more than 100 million copies worldwide, and making upwards of a billion dollars in sales.

The central character of Jack Reacher is a military veteran who lives a nomadic life as a freelance investigator and trouble-shooter.

The first season of the show will be based on Child’s first novel in the series, called, The Killing Floor.

Jack Reacher has already entered the realm of celluloid in the form of two Hollywood movies, both featuring Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher.

Scorpion creator Nick Santora is writing, as well as executive producing the series, along with Lee Child. No streaming date or cast has been announced yet.
