What is the story about?

Season 2 begins from the time Season 1 (Jamai Raja) ended, with this time Sid wanting to exact revenge from DD and her son for killing his sister. Sid and Roshni are very much in love, but clearly, Sid has an agenda and is not honest about his intentions with Roshni. Whether Sid is able to avenge his sister's death or if Roshni is able to defend her mother and brother forms the rest of the story.

We are just suckers for good ol revenge dramas, aren't we? For the uninitiated, Jamai Raja was a hit show on television based on a man seeking revenge from his scheming and evil mother-in-law. That show has now been made into an OTT show called Jamai. True, the show received a lot of flak but there are some loyal fans of the show as well. Season 2 of Jamai 2.0 is a lot more intense and thrilling. It has a lot of twists and suspense-filled moments that make the show worth your watch. A lot of mysteries and cliffhangers from season 1 are solved in season 2 which are pretty scandalous, shocking, and truly expected.

Ravi Dubey and Nia Sharma as Sid and Roshni fit the roles perfectly and have a lot of chemistry. Their acting may not seem that impactful when they have scenes with other actors, but together they make a good on-screen couple. Achint Kaur, as the menacing and evil DD is great on the screen as well. She does her role very effortlessly. Sudhanshu Pandey seems a little unconvincing as a South India accented cop.

Music & Other Departments

Jamai 2.0 has been shot in the picturesque Puducherry and it is a treat to the eyes. However, the script and the screenplay seem a bit slow at times. Even though the episodes are only 20 and 30 odd minutes each, they still seem a bit slow and packed with too many plots. The editing therefore could have been a bit sharper.

Watch out for Ravi Dubey and Nia Sharma's sizzling hot chemistry.

This could have been a 2-hour long revenge-drama film than a series. A lot of plots seem repetitive and predictable.
