Gaurav Chatterji a passionate musician who started his musical journey at a very young age. He was introduced to the tabla and then went on to take training from several renowned teachers in Hindustani Classical and Western Classical (Piano).
Gaurav debuted as a music composer in the film ‘ Jai Mummy Di’ in Jan 2020 with the song ‘Ishq da band’ sung by Mika Singh.
Gaurav has also worked on several advertising jingles and short films. He won the South Film and Arts Academy Festival award for Best Music for the film Biscut.
Gaurav enjoys working on different genres of music and collaborating with different artists. In 2019, he collaborated with Sona Mohapatra also featuring Sahil Solanki to create a Bengali Qawalli number ‘Mon ke Bojhai’ that featured in Season 1 of ‘Oriplast Originals’. In 2015, Gaurav collaborated with Srinivas Music in Kolkata and released his ﬁrst album on experimental Rabindrasangeet- “The Other Side”, which has received wide acclaim.
Currently, he is working on the feature film titled Aafat-e-ishq which is directed by Indrajit Nattoji and produced by Zee Studios.
Gaurav's latest track 'Phoonk Phoonk' is all the rage these days thanks to the film Ginny Weds Sunny trending on #1 on Netflix India. Chatterji infuses his Sufi melody with elements of folk and rock for the film.
