Much-loved Percy Jackson novels to reboot as a series for Disney+
The Percy Jackson series may not have drawn big blood in its film adaptation series due to multiple reasons, but fans can now take a breath of fresh air. Rick Riordan, the author of the book, announced that a series adaptation of his books is currently in the works at Disney+.

In his statement, Riordan and Becky said that the fans have worked hard to champion a faithful on-screen adaptation of Percy Jackson’s world, and while they can’t say much more at this stage, they are very excited for this live-action series which will be of the highest quality.
Kicking off in 2005, the Percy Jackson franchise is the proud owner of five novels, namely The Lightning Thief, The Sea of Monsters, The Titan’s Curse, The Battle of the Labyrinth and The Last Olympian. While the books met the expectations of the fans one after the other, the film adaptations didn’t quite hit the right chords, and the makers of the series would be adamant on getting their content to fly high.
Logan Lerman, Brandon T Jackson and Alexandra Daddario starred in the film adaptation of Percy Jackson’s first instalment called ‘The Lightning Thief’. The film had its sequel titled ‘Sea of Monsters’ releasing in 2013. While Chris Columbus of Harry Potter fame had worked on the first part, Thor Freudenthal directed the second.
More announcements and updates on this series are awaited. For fans of Percy Jackson who have read all the books, this could be a dream come true!
