Anurag Kashyap today announced the launch of his new production company called Good Bad Films. Kashyap's upcoming Netflix film Choked: Paisa Bolta Hai will be the first movie under the new production house. Choked will premiere on Netflix on 5th June, and stars Saiyami Kher and Roshan Mathew as leads.
Anurag Kashyap took to his Instagram this morning to announce the news, where he also shared the logo of the new company. The logo depicts two faces of a woman — one, a sweet smiling face, with demure downcast eyes and a 'Bindi' resplendent on the forehead - the good obviously; while the other with ram-like horns, sharp teeth and a third eye on the forehead - which is obviously bad.
Anurag Kashyap also revealed the names of his partners on his new venture - and no, it is none of his previous collaborators. Good Bad Films has Dhruv Jagasia and Akshay Thakker as Anurag Kashyap's partners in his new production company. Readers may remember that Anurag Kashyap ran Phantom Films earlier, with Vikramaditya Motwane, Madhu Mantena and Vikas Bahl as partners. The company produced films like Masaan and Queen, and the popular Netflix show, Sacred Games.
Much before Phantom Films though, he ran a production company called Anurag Kashyap Films. That company had been managed by filmmaker Guneet Monga. Kashyap produced films like Udaan, which was Vikramaditya Motwane's first hit film, and The Lunchbox, among others.
