Netflix Reveals First Look and Premiere Date For Space Force, The Office's Greg Daniels and Steve Carell's Next Outing Together
Netflix dropped a much-awaited piece of info last evening, much to the delight of the multitude of fans of The Office. Space Force, the series that was announced in January 2019, with The Office's creator Greg Daniels as creator, and Steve Carell as co-creator and lead, has been given a premiere date. Space Force will premiere on the streaming platform on 29th May. Netflix also shared first look pictures of the upcoming series, and they're adorable, to say the least.
For the unversed, The Office is an American sitcom, reprised from the UK original, which has achieved cult status among comedy show junkies. Its sharp humour and witty dialogues have catapulted it to the top of every comedy show list. The Office was created by Greg Daniels, and headlined by Steve Carell.
Space Force brings the duo together, in a mouth-watering proposition. Steve Carell plays four-star general Mark R. Naird, who's picked to marshal together the eccentric bunch of scientists at Space Force, the newly formed sixth branch of the US Armed Forces. As head of Space Force, Mark must quickly get the US space program back on track and put a man on the moon again. He moves to the remote Space Force base in Colorado with wife Maggie, played by Lisa Kudrow (of Friends fame).
The cast also comprises accomplished actors John Malkovich, Diana Silvers, Tawny Newsome, Ben Schwartz, Jimmy O. Yang, Noah Emmerich, Alex Sparrow and Don Lake.
Greg Daniels has created the series, with Steve Carell as co-creator.
