Snabba Cash, or Easy Money, is Netflix’s latest show to start shooting in the Swedish capital of Stockholm.
Produced by SF Studios, and featuring Evin Ahmed (known for his films Drom Vidare and two Netflix series Quicksand and The Rain season 2), Snabba Cash is based on the famous Stockholm Noir films. The show will be a reboot of the main plot of the films, which are themselves inspired by the book series by Jens Lapidus. The Stockholm Noir trilogy is set in the seedy underbelly of the city, but the series focuses on Leya, a young single mom trying to make it in the startup scene, who gets embroiled in a world full of crime and the mafia.
All necessary safety precautions are being taken while shooting, including crew and cast members wearing masks, getting temperature checks, and dividing into zones for minimal contact. A nurse and a guard are also available on set at all times.
Snabba Cash is directed by Jesper Ganslandt, produced by Nicklas Wikstrom Nicastro, and written and created by Oskar Soderlund with Jens Lapidus. The cast also includes Alexander Abdallah, Ali Alarik, Olle Sarri and Dada Fungula Bozela as well as Jozef Wojciechowicz (Z.E). The show will be available for streaming on Netflix in 2021.
