As we all know OTT is inflating the economy of every country as for the past three months every soul is at home due to the Pandemic. Like many other netizens, we also debated on which company has a larger quantity of content
Here we go for the Shocking Analysis:
Seattle Based Technological Conglomerate, Amazon's very own streaming service, Amazon Prime Video, now has movies count three times more than their competitor Netflix. A Popular report announced on June 9 stated that Prime Video has a mountainous count of 12,828 movies while Netflix, which has more patrons than Amazon Prime, has 3,781 films. It is also to be noted that the number only embodies the films Amazon Prime allows to its contributors for free.
In India, An Amazon Prime membership costs ₹329 for 3 months or ₹999 for a year, where the consumers can benefit Prime Delivery Services as well. Whereas Netlfix for Phone starts at ₹200 for a month and HD Streams at ₹800 Per Month.
Also, when "High-Quality" films which are based on ratings are compared, Prime Video streams 568 and Netflix gush only 424. So we also can arrive at a fact that just 4% per cent of films in Prime Video is on "High- Quality". Whereas with Netflix it is 11%. So it can be concluded that though both the behemoths are closer in terms of the count of "High-Quality" films, Netflix has a very good lead with the percentage.
The report also states that in the USA, HBO Max is the most expensive streaming service at $14.99 per month and offers 1,735 movies, Hulu is $11.99 per month and offers 1,016 movies, Disney+ is $6.99 per month and offers 615 movies and Apple TV+ is $4.99 per month but offers only five original movies.
