New York Indian Film Festival to feature 'Sthalpuran', 'Fire In The Mountains', and 'Pinki Elli?' on a virtual platform

According to a recent report, three movies called Sthalpuran, Fire In The Mountains, and Pinki Elli?, would be screened at New York Festival. Moviesaints.com would be sponsoring the current edition of the festival, which will run from June 4 to June 13. On a virtual platform, the 21st edition of the New York Indian Film Festival will broadcast 58 films in 15 languages, including features, documentaries, and shorts.
According to Cinestaan, The news was shared on the festival's social media accounts. The festival will kick off with a screening of Prithvi Konanur's Pinki Elli? and wrap up with Ajitpal Singh's first film Fire In The Mountains.
Along with movies like Sthalpuran, Fire In The Mountains, and Pinki Elli?, the other feature films such as Arun Karthick's 'Nasir' and Sajin Baabu's 'Biriyaani' will also be screened at the festival.
In addition, the organizers of the festival will also screen several documentary features including Shut Up Sona (2020), as well as Utpalendu Chakraborty's documentary The Music of Satyajit Ray (1984). Documentary films Shut Up Sona and The Music of Satyajit Ray (1984) would also be screened. On the occasion of the iconic filmmaker's centennial, the latter is a special bonus. Ahimsa Gandhi: The Power Of The Restless, a documentary by Ramesh Sharma, is a similar addition to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary.
