Peacock gives series order to remake of 'Queer as Folk'

British drama Queer as folk which is being reinvented by Stephen Dunn is getting the series treatment at the NBCUniversal streamer Peacock. The drama comes from UCP and Bravo who ideated it in 2018 which then moved to Peacock in 2019 and now has been greenlit for a series. 

The original drama was the brianchild of Russell t. davies and starred Aidan Gillen, Charlie Hunnam and Craig Kelly as three gay men living in Manchester. According to Deadline, the Peacock series will be set in New Orleans and will follow a diverse group of friends whose lives are transformed in the aftermath of a tragedy.
