Season 3 of Fauda gets a date
Israeli TV series Fauda is one of the most successful and critically-acclaimed properties for Netflix, which acquired it for streaming in 2016 and presented it as a Netflix Original series. Both seasons of the series were humongous successes for Netflix, earning glowing reviews from critics and viewers alike.
Season 3 of Fauda, which already debuted on Israeli TV in December 2019, will soon make its way to Netflix, as the streaming giant has just declared the premiere date for Fauda Season 3. The new season will premiere on Netflix on 16th April, with all 12 episodes of the season available for streaming.
Fauda is presented bilingually in Hebrew and Arabic with English subtitles. Created by Lior Raz and Avi Issacharoff, it is an espionage thriller set in the hotbed of complex Middle East politics, more specifically, the hostilities between Israel and Palestine. Raz plays a retired undercover Israeli Defense Forces officer, who comes out of retirement to infiltrate the Hamas set up in the West Bank and hunt down a dangerous terrorist.
Season 3 is set in the backdrop of the Gaza Strip. It opened to a tremendous response on Israeli TV, with the first episode garnering upwards of a million views within the first 48 hours of telecast.
The reason for the success of the series is that political complexities between Israel and Palestine have been depicted in a non-biased and sensitive manner, as also the myriad issues of the region. Both Palestinian and Israeli perspectives have been placed before viewers in a thoughtfully-written narrative.
Fauda Season 3 premieres on Netflix on 16th April.
Season 1 and 2 are available for streaming on Netflix.
