Sex Education Season 3, to start production in August

As part of a production reboot in the UK in wake of the coronavirus pandemic, Netflix hopes to add its path-breaking show Sex Education to the list and start shooting for its new season in August. Although this isn't certain yet, this is most likely if reports are to be believed.

It seems that the third season of the comedy-drama was due to begin filming this month in the normal course. With lockdown being declared around the world a while go, this was stalled. The reason why Netflix hopes for at least an August kickstart is that the show wants to use the British summertime ambience in the shooting. Having said that, the show's intimate nature is certainly a concern with new social distancing rules coming into order. Netflix is working together with Eleven, the British television production company on Sex Education, to make it happen.

Starring  Gillian Anderson, Asa Butterfield, Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa, Aimee-Lou Wood, Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Tanya Reynolds, Patricia Allison, and Alistair Petrie, Sex Education has been lauded for its sensitivity towards sexuality, relationships and identity for its multi-layered characters. It has been created by Laurie Nunn.

Stay tuned to LetsOTT for updates on the release date for season 3 is unconfirmed.
