'Shadow and Bone' returns to Netflix for a second season!

Good news for all Grishaverse fans all over the world! Shadow and Bone will be returning for a second season! The cast of the show announced that they will be returning for a second time to enthral the audiences with their story. Based on Leigh Bardugo’s bestselling Grishaverse novel series, Shadow and Bone and Six of Crows, the series Shadow and Bone has been renewed for eight one-hour episodes from writer Eric Heisserer (Bird Box) and Stranger Things executive producer Shawn Levy and his 21 Laps Entertainment. 

The renewal comes as no surprise because of how well the first season of the series has been received with critics and fans alike praising the conceptualization of the series and keeping details closer to the book and also the performances by the cast. According to Netflix, 55 million member households watched Shadow and Bone in its first 28 days of premiere. Netflix data also showed that the series hit the Top 10 list in 93 countries around the world and hit No. 1 in 79 countries including Australia, Brazil, Germany, Russia, Spain, South Africa, and the U.S. 

The diverse cast Jessie Mei Li as Alina Starkov, the cast includes Archie Renaux (Malyen Oretsev), Freddy Carter (Kaz Brekker), Amita Suman (Inej), Kit Young (Jesper Fahey), Ben Barnes (General Kirigan), Danielle Galligan (Nina Zenik) and Calahan Skogman (Matthias Helvar), are all set to reprise their roles in Season 2. More cast members will be announced by the streamer along with the release date later. 

In season one, dark forces conspire against orphan mapmaker Alina Starkov when she unleashes an extraordinary power that could change the fate of her war-torn world.
