SIMMBA MOVIE REVIEW

SIMMBA MOVIE REVIEW

While most of us are still recovering from Avengers: Infinity War or have already stared speculating who lives and dies in Avengers Endgame, Rohit Shetty is busy putting together his own #Avengers kinda team of super cops, from Singham to its spin-off in Simba and then in the credit scene linking his yet another up coming super cop movie Sooryavanshi (Akshay Kumar) he is making sure he has a team of super cops that can appear in each others movies .. he may also make an entire movie with all 3 of them someday , we never know, afterall Marvel also did that (Rohit Shetty could be bollywood's Nick Fury ... just saying) Now Simba is a man with a plan, at an early age he decides to make lots of money and unlike us smart people, he joins the POLICE - which is also repeated in the background music several times just so that you know for sure. Everything seems rocking for Simba in the first half; he makes a lot of money and also meets the love of his life Sara Ali Khan, who has as much screen time as Ajay Devgn (special appearance), But in the second half, Simba finds himself in the middle of Damini 1993 and uska zameer jaag jaata.... ! Although there is a taarik wala courtroom scene, Simba quickly changes gears and pulls a Bhajirao Singham on the culprits.. . and then finally appears Ajay Devgn, to give us his special team ka special inquiry report (because center ne usko chuna hai ) Simba is a deliberate attempt to tell a morally correct story through a morally damaged cop which doesn't do much in terms of newness in the plot, however the recent #metoo movement and many outraging stories in the past makes this movie a tinge relevant and earns applauds for certain dialogues from the audience. Not a bad movie to watch if you still haven't, Simba is currently Streaming on Zee5. Rating 3/5 Reviewer Name : William Rebello
