The romantic drama Bhanumathi Ramakrishna is all set for its world premiere on aha streaming platform on July 3rd, 2020. “aha” is an exclusive streaming platform dedicated for Telugu content. The film is directed by Srikanth Nagothi. The film has Salony Luthra and Naveen Chandra in the lead playing the titular characters Bhanumathi and Ramakrishna respectively. The story follows the romance of an unlikely couple in their 30’s.
The trailer of the film which was released recently created quite a buzz, also it attracted a little bit of trouble for the makers which might hinder the release of their film. But when we got in touch with the director of the film he made it clear it won’t be the case.
Son of late multilingual actress P. Bhanumathi Ramakrishna, initially after hearing the title and news on the release of the film, he did send a letter to the team of Bhanumathi Ramakrishna. The content of the letter stated that the team is misquoting or misusing her reputation or draw attention from her name. To which the team replied clarifying that the story has no reference to Late. Bhanumathi Ramakrishna and answered all the questions raised by her son, also the team sent him the trailer of the film to cross-check the facts. Unfortunately, that did not convince him and a legal notice was sent with the same accusations.
The reason for confusion arose due to an article’s header on Time of India in which the director quoted “Bhanumathi Ramakrishna gave me the freedom to explore.” So, he misconstrued and accused the director asking when his mother did give the rights to explore her biography? But the director and the team clarified that the film has nothing to do with the life of Late.P.Bhanumathi Ramakrishna and it’s just a pure coincidence. The film focuses on two characters Bhanumathi and Ramakrishna and the director’s idea was to show a love story of a couple in their 30’s and wanted their names to sound traditional and old school. And it has absolutely nothing to do with the biography of P.Bhanumathi Ramakrishna.
If you check out the trailer you’ll get a clear idea that it’s a romantic comedy. Our brief interaction with the director clarifies the accusations and gives a clear picture of the film’s core plot. The film is all set to release on July 3rd, 2020 on aha with no hindrance. We wish the director Srikanth Nagothi and the entire team of Bhanumathi Ramakrishna a streaming success.
