What is the story about?

The Last Hour follows the life of a newly transferred Mumbai cop named Arup who is sent to Sikkim to solve the murder of a Bengali actress. While investigating the case, Arup teams up with Dev, a shaman as he can communicate with souls of dead people to see what happened in their last hour, before their bodies turn completely cold. Together they try to solve the mystery before they run out of time and more people end up dead.

The problem with 'The Last Hour' is not the storytelling nor the acting. It is like many other shows let down by execution. For those who have followed the American show 'Medium' and 'Pushing Daisies', 'The Last Hour' might seem like a bit of familiar territory when it comes to dealing with supernatural elements. It has a lot of sub-plots, which you notice are abandoned by the end of episode 10, and you are left wondering would they ever be explored if this show returns for season 2. There are lot of continuity errors especially in episodes 2 and 3 and makes you wonder if it was edited in a hurry. The concept and story are excellent, since you don't really get to see a lot of supernatural series and movies coming from India that aren't gory or with clunky CGI. But in this series, even the dialogues are clunky with a lot of loopholes with no explanation given whatsoever. Also, they haven't really explained the concept of 'shamans' and their powers. So, for someone who doesn't know what it means to be a 'shaman', you might have to do a lot of googling for it. It does seem like a show that indeed had a lot of potential, however it fell flat in the execution part.

If you have been a fan of actors Sanjay Kapoor or Shahana Goswami or Raima Sen, you might be disappointed that your favourite actors were given extremely cheesy dialogues and that they couldn't harness their potential in the show.  Actors such as Karma Takapa,Shaylee Krishen, Robin Tamang, and Mandakini Goswami have done a fair job when it comes to acting.

Music & Other Departments

There isn't much music to talk about. The action sequences haven't been shot well and seem completely out of place and half-baked.

If I could name just one.
