The latest news is the franchise will be soon converted into an animated series which will have a couple of seasons. Reports suggest that the first season will have 52 episodes and each episode will have half an hour of content in it. The producers of the franchise are in discussion with several OTT Sites for the release.
Arbaaz Khan, who is the Producer of all the three releases so far, spoke to a Bollywood media, "The most magnanimous strength of a franchise like "Dabangg" is that it entertains families and kids. So we thought the next sensible move from our productions will be entering the animation space through Dabaang."
He also added "OTT Platforms offers the product an exceptional imaginative range with storytelling, and we have planned to sharpen the script on more precise standalone stories instead of longer and conventional narratives. Chulbul Pandey's character in the franchise is larger than life and with this attempt, his enterprises in the tale will be showcased as never seen before.
Cosmos-Maya, the Indian based Animation Company who has been a pioneer in making animated stories for kids is producing the commodity.
When Salman's brother was asked about the Animation company he opened up "We are very delighted to be operating with Cosmos-Maya on this magnificent franchise which has won the heart of million kids already. Our collab was very organic that the franchise and the atelier have both entertained Indian masses with interesting stories and relatable anecdotes. We are Excited" Arbaaz added.
It is also reported that the animated show will emphasise the animated avatars of all the popular characters from the blockbuster franchise. It includes Sonakshi Sinha's Rajjo, Prajapati, played by the late Vinod Khanna in the films and the three antagonists Chedi Singh (Sonu Sood), Bachcha Bhaiya (Prakash Raj) and Baali (Sudeep).
Dabaang has had three releases where all three were produced by Arbaaz Khan, the brother of the lead star Salman Khan. Indeed, Arbaaz directed part two of the film, whereas the first edition, part 1 was directed by the Abinav Kashyap and the latest part 3 by Prabhudeva. The films released in 2010, 2012 and 2019 respectively.
Hopefully, after the Success of the Animated Dabaang, Cosmos Maya hails down south and bankroll the similar South Indian Blockbuster Singam as it has a major following
