Tom Ellis to return in Lucifer Season 6?

Rumours are rife that Lucifer star Tom Ellis has sealed a deal to return as his charismatic character for a sixth season of the fan favourite comic book drama series.

It was earlier this year when Netflix began talking with series producer Warner Bros. TV about continuing LUCIFER beyond what was supposed to be the show's fifth and final season. It's been reported that after a friendly and productive chin-wag, executive producers Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson had reached an accord for another season revolving around Vertigo and DC's demonic Lothario. With the deal in place, the next step was to secure the series' main players, all of whom were quick to sign on, save for Ellis, who for a time appeared to be holding out for a better deal. Thankfully, it's now been confirmed that Ellis is on board and that the sixth season of LUCIFER is in the works.

Lucifer centres around the show's devilishly clever leading man, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis), a fallen angel who once ruled the depths of Hell before deciding to take a vacation in Los Angeles - The City of Angels. While continuing to party like the world is about to end, Lucifer teams with Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German) to solve a grizzly murder. As the unlikely pair continue to find themselves drawn to one another by a seemingly benevolent force, Lucifer soon finds himself falling for the one woman in all of creation who is unaffected by his diabolical charms.

Lord have mercy! Ellis is a lock for Season 6 of Lucifer! Pour the drinks and invite all your adventurous friends to go full-Caligula on one another, because this is something worth celebrating in these dark and disparaging times!
