Tom Hanks starrer Greyhound fixes up its release date on Apple TV!
Siddarth Srinivas -
With the Coronavirus pandemic taking over the globe in full flow, many films have decided to go straight to OTT platforms, and the biggest of them all was Tom Hanks starrer Greyhound – which was bagged by Apple TV for a mammoth price. The film, which is set during the time of World War II, captures the incidents that take place when George Krause, a naval officer, is given the command of leading a convoy of 37 ships to deliver supplies and forces during the Battle of the Atlantic.
After keeping mum for long, Apple has now announced that Greyhound will be premiering on the app on the 10th of July, Friday. This is the first time in Tom Hanks’ career that a film of his is going straight to a streaming service, instead of releasing first in theatres.
The film, which was initially slated to release worldwide on 6th May, is directed by Aaron Schneider. Apart from Hanks, the film stars Stephen Graham, Rob Morgan, Elisabeth Shue and others.
