Nothing is a secret for the students of Liberty High, and all will be revealed on June 5th when the final season of runaway hit 13 Reasons Why finally drops on Netflix.
Clay is back, but so is Monty (or so it seems) in the aftermath of Bryce’s death, if the new trailer, which was posted by the teen drama’s official Twitter and Instagram handles, is anything to go by. It’s all drama-drama-drama at high school as we realise that there may be more to the story than what Clay and his friends were led to believe.
When we left season 3, Alex had gotten away with killing Bryce Harper after Monty was framed for that murder. The trailer for season 4 opens with graffiti in the high school which reads - “Monty Was Framed,’ leaving everyone stunned but quiet. Soon enough, his lover Winston joins Liberty High and goes on a mission to find out what happened and perhaps absolve Monty. As per a statement put out by Netflix, this is the final unraveling of the dark secrets that have kept us guessing and entertained for the last few years. And that’s what we expect with all the Seniors graduating this year as well.
13 Reasons Why is based on the best-selling novel by Jay Asher, even though its last two seasons are a fresh story scripted exclusively for Netflix. The series finale will be available on June 5, 2020.
