Netflix has just dropped the trailer of their first Norwegian original Cadaver, written and directed by Jarand Hendal. The film which stars Gitte Witt, Thorbjorn Harr and Thomas Gullestad is set to arrive on Netflix on the 22nd of October.

The film is set up as a psychological horror-thriller where lines are being blurred, as the family of three visits a hotel at the back end of a nuclear disaster. As the hotel invites the survivors for a play followed by a party, things don’t go as it seems as they are asked to wear masks and people around them start disappearing. As the terror starts to bite into their family as well, it is time for the couple to stand up for themselves and become the saviours.

The film does seem to have spectacular visuals and a constantly creepy mood that will add a lot of tension to the proceedings. It will be interesting to see how this film turns out, and if it does go well, it will pave the road for a lot more films from Norway hereon.
