In the cut-throat world of investment banking, where fortunes are made and crushed in a matter of minutes, is it possible to keep your wits about you and hold on to your morals and beliefs? The trailer for Industry, a new series on HBO Max, poses this question to viewers through its intriguing depiction of a group of people, all in their twenties, who are looking to advance their own careers in this brutally competitive sector. These people are competing for positions at one of London's top investment banks. As work pressures rise, inter-personal relationships rise and fall, aided in no small part by a culture of hedonism and egoism at the workplace. In such circumstances, how far will these people go to chase their ambitions?
Created by Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, the British series has been executive-produced by Girls creator Lena Dunham, who has also directed the first episode. The cast includes Myha’la Herrold, Marisa Abela, Harry Lawtey, David Jonsson, Nabhaan Rizwan, Freya Mavor, Will Tudor, Conor Macneill and Ken Leung.
Industry premieres on November 9, 2020 on HBO Max.
