Trailer Touchdown: Laghushanka

SonyLIV will soon be premiering a brand new short film on its service, Laghushanka, which is the brainchild of the co-writers on films like Dangal, Chhichhore, and Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Nikhil Mehrotra.

In the trailer of the film that was released earlier today, we see OTT darling Shweta Tripathi play Shruti, a young girl just two days shy of her wedding, with a problem of bed-wetting. She discusses with her mother how homoeopathy hasn’t worked and her problem is back. What’s worse is that the groom seemingly has no idea and they contemplate how the truth will be revealed. The scene is hilarious in the way it focuses on the two women’s discussion without giving us much detail on Shruti’s concern until the end when we see them both staring at a bed. ‘Laghushanka’ can be translated as the process of keeping one’s stomach clean but it also loosely translates to ‘small problem.’

Well, will this be a small or big problem for Shruti, is something that remains to be seen Find out by watching ‘Laghushanka,’ a quirky short film on SonyLIV on 16th October.
