It’s 2005. A small village with lush green fields, Kambalapally, is yet to fully embrace the computer era. It’s a region where a college-going youngster Ravi Kumar doesn’t exactly know how to introduce a computer and labels it ‘a device similar to television’ when he asks his father to buy one. At the same time, another villager brings a computer on his bicycle to launch his new business – ‘Star Computer Gaming Centre’ – with a tag line written in bold ‘enabled with internet facility’.
The launch of the computer centre in the village naturally interests Ravi. Thereon, the shop owner has funny theories about what a computer virus is and even warns Ravi about not entering his centre with slippers. Mail, the chapter one of Kambalapally Kathalu, the latest show to release on Aha on January 12 is that and a lot more.
The show stars Priyadarshi, Harshith Malgireddy, Mani Aegurla, Sri Gouri Priya Reddy, Vannarn, Srikanth Palle, Ravinder Bommakanti and Anusha Netha in significant roles. Besides the three theatrical releases, Mail has certainly upped the entertainment quotient for audiences this Sankranti. Directed by Uday Gurrala, Kambalapally Kathalu is being produced under Swapna Cinema by Priyanka Dutt and Swapna Dutt. Sweekar Agasthi has composed music for what seems to be a promising rural comedy.
