Eros Now’s original series Metro Park features a host of whimsical and quirky characters, all of whom belong to a Gujarati family settled in New Jersey. It debuted last year and received love from the audience for its unique sense of humour. In a time where most of our favourite returning shows are on a halt thanks to production on a pause in the coronavirus pandemic, nothing has stopped this family from coming back for another season.
In Metro Park: Quarantine Edition, all of the actors have shot their portions from the confinement of their own homes, and the season is set to be a mix of edited portions as well as video calls. Starring Ranvir Shorey, Omi Vaidya, Pitobhash Tripathy, Purbi Joshi and Vega Tamotia, the new season of Metro Park has five episodes of just upto five minutes.
Ridhima Lulla, chief content officer, Eros Group, said the team is excited to put together the special edition amid difficult times. "We are aiming to deliver exciting and unique content for our viewers world over, which they can binge watch and enjoy during the lockdown," she added.
It is interesting to see whether this kind of production for shows, which Metro Park has kick-started, becomes a norm in the future. The Quarantine Edition is written by Ajayan Venugopalan, and directed by Venugopalan and Abi Varghese. It will stream from May 23, 2020 on Eros Now.
