Martha, a young woman, is expecting the birth of her child with her husband Sean. Adamant on a home birth, her delivery, however, ends in tragedy, as the baby is dead on arrival. The stunning trailer for Pieces of a Woman show Martha and Sean attempt to come to terms with their loss, even as Martha attempts to save her midwife from the ramifications of a legal battle started by her own dominating mother.
 
Directed by Kornél Mundruczó, who also co-wrote the film along with his wife Kata Wéber, the harrowing film stars Vanessa Kirby, Shia LeBeouf, Ellen Burstyn, Molly Parker and others.
 
Pieces of a Woman debuts on January 7, 2021 on Netflix.
