Awesomeness Films is all set to give another bang on high school teen drama, but this time it’s going to be ‘bloody’ fun. Adapted from Aaron Starmer’s YA novel, ‘Spontaneous’ will include stars such as Katherine Langford (13 Reasons Why, Love, Simon) and Charlie Plummer (Looking for Alaska) in the lead roles.
Written, produced and directed by Brian Duffield, Spontaneous is a fictional take on a regular high school with high school students, until a sudden breakout of students beginning to spontaneously explode occurs. This leaves the whole community in panic as the explosion, each time, leaves behind bits and pieces of blood, brain and bone. Langford and Plummer star as a couple who try not to spontaneously explode like their peers. This movie is going to take the difficulty of high school to a whole new level and I’m excited.
Spontaneous marks Duffield’s feature directorial debut, and this movie will be released in selected theatres around the globe on Friday, October 2nd and also hits the premium VOD on Tuesday, October 6th.
