Amazon's Streaming Service Prime Video has been continuously acquiring films with big stars in regional languages with a big budget and releasing them online without a theatre release. After Jyothika's Ponmagal Vandhal, Ayushman's Gulabo Sitabo and Keerthy's Penguin, now we have Jayasurya's Sufiyum Sujatayum. The team has got a trailer docked to the Amazon Prime Video India's youtube channel. Here's the takeaway.
So this is a film which deals with the post-marriage issues due to the past relationship of a mute girl Sujata(Aditi Rao Hydari). Jayasuriya (Rajeev) plays the husband of Sujata. Sujata dates a guy who is from the Sufi community and she loves in love when the guy practices the art form. Also, the trailer hints both the married couple travelling to (or) from Dubai and also they perform the last rituals of a guy. (Will it be the Ex-Lover??)
Though the film has a very conventional storyline and also due to the usual factor the film would undoubtedly have a usual screenplay. Films like this with typical storyline and screenplay have performed well only through unexpected twists and splendid performances. Also, the trailer offers some nice music. So obviously, if this is going to be a customary love fiction with some lovely music and other technical aspects, the film would succeed big amongst the Netizens.
It is to be noted that apart from Jaisuriya, Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddique, Vijay Babu, Hareesh Kanaran and Kalarajini plays important roles in the film. The film is written and directed by Naranipuzha Shanavas and bankrolled by Vijay Babu. Tunes, Edit and Camera are taken care of by M. Jayachandran, Deepu Joseph and Anu Moothedath respectively.
