Trailer Touchdown: The White Tiger

“I’m just one who has woken up, while the rest of you are still sleeping.” So says Balram, the protagonist of The White Tiger. The trailer for this upcoming Netflix original film shows Balram, a driver who has plans to make his lot better in life. He works for Ashok, a high-flying businessman and also interacts regularly with Pinky, who is in love with Ashok. However, at various points in the trailer, Balram is bullied and humiliated because of his status, until one day he decides to “wake up”, take matters into his own hands and become a hotshot.
Adapted and directed by Ramin Bahrani from the Booker Prize-winning book by Aravind Adiga, the film stars Adarsh Gourav as Balram, Rajkummar Rao as Ashok and Priyanka Chopra Jonas as Pinky.
The White Tiger comes to Netflix worldwide sometime in January 2021.
